Everybuggy Feels is an illustrated children's book teaching young readers to care for even the smallest creatures. When considering my target audience, it was important that I made the text easy to read and pair well with the intricate illustrations. As well, certain bugs can look intimidating; this required me to find a style that balances recognizable with friendly. Through soft, heartfelt illustrations, the bugs are portrayed with human-like emotions, allowing readers to relate to them. If children can learn to care for the creatures that are often unseen, then they can learn to care for anyone, no matter how different.
